For rigging/spacing reasons, the following acts will NOT be allowed to compete:
Wheel of death
If and when an artist is contacted to be a finalist, they must be able to commit to make their way to Toronto two days before the event unless special circumstances are negotiated. The event will be in the latter half of 2014, specific dates to be announced soon.
Solo acts must be under 6:00 long, duos/trios must be under 8 minutes long, group acts & other special considerations will be negotiated on an individual basis as far as act duration is concerned.
Artists must provide their own professional-level costumes, make up, music, and equipment. Large items such as crash mats may be requested and provided by the Competition.
No animal acts are allowed.
ALLfire artists must have their own insurance policy, and make their policy documentation available to the competition if chosen as a finalist.
The decision of our judging panel is final and irreversible. Judges will be industry relevant professionals with exceptional experience. Their decisions are final.
Only one (1) application per act is required. The same artist may submit more than one act, but must pay the submission fee for each application.
The video submitted with each application must accurately demonstrate the safety and rigging requirements of the act (ie: a moving aerial point, a crash mat, safety line, use of fire, etc.) Only elements shown in the video submission will be available the day of the competition, should an act be chosen as a finalist.
These rules are subject to change without notification.
